Daphne Bach Greer

Daphne Greer is a native of eastern Oregon, where she continues to reside with her husband, Jake, and their four living children. She enjoys the country lifestyle and love for the outdoors. She has worked in the criminal justice field for nearly twenty years as an adult probation and parole officer.

Following the death of her daughter in 2008, Daphne found a new purpose and passion in life. She cofounded Lydia’s Love, a nonprofit organization that provides birthday celebrations to children in need.

She blogs at grievinggumdrops.com and writes about finding hope amidst grief and loss. She is a member of the Oregon Christian Writers Association, and also served for many years on the steering committee of The Compassionate Friends in Salem, Oregon. Currently, Daphne volunteers with Ellie’s Way, a nonprofit organization proving hope and outreach for the bereaved as well as While We’re Waiting, a faith-based organization providing retreats for bereaved parents.
